More Fun for Oboe

More Fun is the successor to Jane Finch’s first book - Fun in the First Register - which was warmly received and highly successful at engaging beginner oboists. More Fun is a cleverly conceived monster-sized book comprising three sections: technical, concert pieces and rhythmical. All pieces have very accessible and fun piano accompaniments and all pieces can be presented in concerts. The technical section uses a progressive approach to developing new notes and range along with articulation, dynamics and rhythm. The concert pieces section includes slightly longer, characterful pieces, and pieces that are on the MTB exam syllabus. The rhythmical section at the end allows the opportunity to crack some awkward rhythms while being challenged and having fun.
